Back to the current topic, 

So for those of you who are not familiar with Izuna, 

her full name is Hatsuse Izuna and she's a werebeast from the new Novel/Anime "No Game No Life"

I think she's really CUTE *A* too cute to be cosable T_T 

and for that reason, I took my own sweet time before cosing her 

( wary of trying to bite off a bigger piece of cake than I am capable of doing since she's much smaller than I am  ) 

I cant find another video on youtube on Izuna that reflects her cuteness T__T 

You have to watch the anime for that (and she appeared on the later part of season 1 too so she wont be there in the beginning) but if you are not gonna watch the anime whatsoever, theres this NSFW (yes , sorry , its NSFW, please dont open it in your office yea ^^) video down here :

As for the anime 
No Game No Life is an anime that I got to watch quite recently ;3 To make things very simple, its about a pair of hikkikomori game addict brother and sisters who got 'invited' into a 'game world' by the world's God and was challenged to kinda 'defeat and unify' the different races in the 'game world' in order to gain a chance to battle the game world's god and get a chance to return to their own world.  Its quite a nice anime to watch although the flow is kinda predictable ^^ (since the brother-sister's motto is ' blank (their team's name is "blank") never lose'!! ) The animation is very colourful and I love the characters' designs :D ! Initially I'd wanted to cos Shiro but settled on Izuna after some really long reflection and feedback from friends :3 

Anyway, now that Izuna's intro is done, lets go back to the topic!!

We actually did both the christmas shoot and the default shoot on the same day in the span of like , 4  hours ? (approximately) and thats including travel time (about 30-45 minutes to the place and then from the place) so we have a short shoot which totaled to about 2 hours ++ for both indoor and outdoor shoot ? (kinda feel that its too short cause there was so many mishaps on that day so we have to pause and stop quite a few of times ^^")  Anyway , for that day's shoot, I was glad I had the help of my sister, who was here visiting x'D - she was such a great help , assisting me in pinning the nekomimi and helping with the lighting etc x'D !! 

Before we started shoot, I realized that the wig needs quite a lot of pouffing up and the ears (despite using so many pins ) refused to stay on if I jumped/ ran. For the wig , I'm glad I had some help in feedback from the photog and my sister, so everytime it went limp , we just pouffed it up with a brush again :3 (dont like using hairspray for various reasons so yea ..)  The ears tho, are quite a pain ^^ INITIALLY, it'll stay up for a few seconds before topping over and became crooked. Then EVENTUALLY, after like tons of pins painfully holding it to the wig, IT STAYED PUT !! And everyone was happy. But shit happens... 

because... 

while I walked very demurely for the first half of the shoot , fearing that the ears will drop if I ran or jumped , I started doing this kind of things in the later half of the shoot...

So occasionally, we have to stop because I have the fix the ears position again too ^^ 

Seemed that Im not the only high one on that day too. It doesnt happen in every shoot but when you're familiar with everyone who's doing the shoot, everyone do tend to get high and start doing random things ^^" like this :

When a friend / photog had to run to pick up some props or stuff because the coser is kinda very far away from the luggage area and cant really run due to "mobility issues" (erhmm... shoes that are troublesome to walk in ) . So, I was thrown the reflector before both my sister and Ee-chan ran off. This picture below is a result of instances such as those where a photographer threw a reflector at the cosplayer and ran to a point 20-30 metres away before snapping a picture of a species which cant run (see the mobility-restricting geta) nor give chase while cackling away . 

The other reason I walked very demurely in the first half of the shoot is the geta... Behold those glorious pixellated lego shoes. The geta I had was the type where the ridges are a tad backwards thus making it difficult to walk on. I was wobbling left and right OTL

Despite the many drawbacks and unforeseen challenges ( our shoot was cut short by unforeseen weather ( the rain... ) )  We had a blast during the shoot ❤ !! Now that I dont have as much time to cos anymore, I do look back at those times fondly :3 It was tiring as hell yes. My head hurts because I am prone to headaches when I wear tight stuff on my hair ( aka. hats or wigs) yes. My legs aches after walking so long on those shoes yes. But in the end, this is something I do because I love the whole process wherever I can afford to involve myself ^^ It was a hectic life juggling school and internship both. Not to mention I fell sick quite often lately but YUP !! The effort was worth it and when I sieved through the pictures, If I can find a few nice ones from every bunch of 10 or hundred I am happy :3 So yea, as quoted from No Game No Life :

TOHO 東方Project Cosplay Shoot - Yuyuko Saigyouji 西行寺 幽々子

Heya ｡◕‿◕｡

today I'll be writing about my Yuyuko Shoot :3  which was like freaking long ago hahahaha ^^ ""Anyway , before I go there, during the recent new year I saw many people making a compilation of their shoot throughout the year , so I decided to jump into the fray and make one as well since I had more free time during the holiday :3 And it turned out like this - your normal photo collage - I did this in a rush and - to begin with - had no idea how to design a pretty collage anyway hahahaha xD ( talentless at scrapbooking) 

It kinda surprised me that I actually did 10 shoots in total with 12 costumes ( 2 of the costumes, meido kuroneko and default izuna isnt in the compilation) . I didnt realize that I actually did quite a few - an average of roughly one per month !! Hope next year will be the same or not as bad Q___Q ... Anyway, I started school on 28th December and had a semi-huge exam on 9th January ( Sadlife) and now , Im mugging like crazy again for my FINAL YEAR exam in 1.5 weeks time approximately =___= needless to say, Im dying slowly and am deathly afraid... At times like this , I really really REALLY wanted to just sieve through the PILES of shoot pictures I have and single out the decent ones . ( Its when I need to study MOST that my brain start to think that cleaning the house, cooking , or ANYTHING unrelated to studying is EXTREMELY interesting  ) 
Sadly, I do admit that I have to study :'( 
So yea, I'll continue to try to blog weekly as my new year promise indicated ... bit by bit ... but I dont think I can churn out much pictures hahaha xD its final years after all.. T__T (wishing I'm one of those smart people who somehow managed to chill quite a bit even before exam) 

Anyway, pardon my digression. Lets continue with the topic of this post 

Yuyuko's shoot !

Yuyuko is one of the character from a popular shooter game TOHO Project  ( or some people would like to spell Touhou / Touho ) :3 Its  basically a shooter game thats

and to top it off, if you're not used to it , toho is NOT easy to play ٩(●~▿~●)۶

The thing about Toho is, the character and story is more or less much more open to interpretation ;3 and the design is actually very pretty :3 As you can see, some fanart turn out to be really beautiful

To make things simple for non-TOHO fans , background wise, Yuyuko is the ruler of Hakugyokurou , the Netherland for Toho Universe. Kinda like Hades in Greek mythology or Hel in Norse mythology in soooome way if that makes it easier to understand ^^ Her hobby is eating (almost anything that tastes nice) and sleeping /lazing around ^^

and added the strawberries ourselves. 

They were on DISCOUNT !!!!! LOLOLOLLL Korean strawberries are the best ! (The USA ones seem too sour for my taste and I have not tasted Japanese ones T__T *digression auntie * ) ^^ The cupcakes and pastries were from a bakery opposite my HDB  block LOL. For Yuyuko's shoot, we did both indoor and outdoor shoot, so for indoor shoot we focused mainly on her 'foodie' aspect :) - the best thing about indoor shoot is AIRCON !!

In addition, because the shoot was indoor, we can start in the morning, have lunch and THEN venture out to shoot. I remembered that day , I had Indomie for lunch because .... err.. we're rushing before my face melted basically ^^ hehehe...

The bad thing about an indoor shoot when you dont have a proper flash /studio is the lighting is freaking shitty.... Ee-chan (my photog) and I wish for that one day we can buy a proper flash , background etc and set up a small studio for indoor shoot T__T... 

Outdoor shoot at the right timing of the day meanwhile can give you awesome lighting ^6 However, I do worry more about outdoor shoot because, the moment you stepped out to do a shoot, you have to worry about so many things from forgetting a prop , broken prop , etc to melting make up - which is a potential disaster at times ^^" I have to bring the usual arsenal of emergency kit (safety pins , hair pins , emergency sewing kit etc etc etc ) before I feel safe . 

At one point of time , I was sitting on grass for a pose and were quite worried about ants and insects T___T In the end we managed to take the shot but I was deathly worried about the insects during the pose itself....

Changed the colour scheme of most outdoor shots since I want to try to replicate the 'netherworld' feel (hahaha hopefully 2 years down the road I wont return and feel this is damn embarassing and fail ^^)  

That's all for my Yuyuko shoot :3 still have some that I've yet to see .. Going to slowly sift through whenever Im free hahaha

Merry Belated Christmas !!

Today's post is going to be about one of the cosplay shoot I did recently 

Basically I was doing a shoot for Izuna last week and since it was christmas , I decided to do a shoot for Izuna in Santa costume :3 It was kinda rushed and a lot of decisions were made last minute in the end T__T

and this is Izuna. Izuna is a warbeast / werebeast as some may call them - which is a race with superior ability in terms of fighting skills compared to the other races (so far in the anime) 

I. FIND. IZUNA. FRIGGIN. CUTE !!! *A* !
Her character is basically just waiting for someone to squeal T__T 
(have a personal weakness for cats, foxes , dogs and most cute furry things with fluffy ears and tails ) .... She had a battle version which is fiercer with facial 'tattoo' / painting but since I've not much time to find the red wig for that version , I didnt shoot that version :'(( 

Anyway back to the shoot , for Izuna , we decided to have both indoor and outdoor shoot  . We started with Indoor shoot first which is both a Santa shoot and a small portion of the default costume shoot . Here are some pictures from the Santa shoot.

As for all other shoots , we encounter difficulties of course hahaha ! ^^ The difficult thing for me is to get Izuna's expression right ... .・゜゜・（／。＼）・゜゜・． I'm getting old and am 153 cm while Izuna is like... 5-10 years old and looks about 1 metre tall (-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩___-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩-̩̩̩) both photog and me were like trying our hardest to make gigantic me look smaller from varying angles...  Meanwhile , the photog and my sister (who helped hold the reflector ) were trying to make the best out of the lights , arranging the deco when I was in positions where I couldnt move much , and positioning the tail so that it looks more 'life-like' on picture . We dream of a day when we can upgrade our camera :P , buy some nice flash and studio set up material - currently we have some white clothes and IKEA discounted curtain , a white wall , a single reflector , and a DSLR.

Another challenging thing actually happened before everything even started - clipping the ears ... the ears are not easy to clip on (it will stay , but not for long and will slowly droop off to a weird angle after some movement. In the end I have to use numerous clips hidden under all those hair to make sure the ears stay upright :P ) 

After the shoot , I changed out to Izuna;s default costume , ate lunch (which is instant ramen in the end because we have to rush ^^) and set out to Japanese Garden for the outdoor shoot .. Camwhore with half worn half taken off costume hahaha ^^"

Anyway , Merry Christmas again !!! I'll start working again this coming Monday and will continue to work through new year without a break T__T and hopefully will have some time to take a look at more of the pictures :3 meanwhile Ciao ~ Will continue after I've taken a look of the outdoor shoot pictures ~ byebye ~ :D

A Quick Update !!! :)

Heyo~ 

sorry for having disappeared for so very long >,< 

Believe it or not, my schedule have been crazy for the past few months (and its getting crazier) 

so now that I have some time to update this space ^^ I'm just gonna post some pictures from my recent shoot (thank god I still have time for some cosplay xD grateful xD ) !!

Anyway , here it is  : )

The character is Yuyuko Saigyouji (basically , she's a ghost who likes to eat - to make things horribly simple ^^ hahaha ) Yuyuko is a character from TOUHOU Project , a very fun (but quite a challenging T-T) shooter game developed by JUN ;D 

I'm trying my best to adjust and adapt so that I can update this space more often :3 

Hopefully I can manage this crazier schedule soon :)

Work @ Gaming Experience 3 (GE3) - being NPCs for once ;D

Hello~

Recently , I had the opportunity to work with my Pika Pika friends at GE3 , https://www.facebook.com/GE3SG, a gaming event which is organized by the NeoTokyoProject :D !!! 

It was held at Downtown East D'Marquee and guess what ? 

We were each given exclamation marks headbands !! 

So we're functioning as real life Quest Givers, 

with exclamation marks hovering above our heads, 

just like NPCs Quest Givers !! xD 

Its quite unstable and required lots of pins to clamp it onto your hair >,<;;; but it looks legit in the dim light - as if they're really floating :D !!

and these are made by ConjurerCJ apparently (should have worked the 2nd day so can cope the exclamation sign xD wahahaha jkjk ) 

We were given these stamps to stamp event goers' phamplets , :D

You have the collect stamps on all the circles to get prizes and the way to do it is to get to different stations and fulfill the "missions" at each stations !! :D

Initially I was stationed at Begonia Terrace!

It was outdoor and I havent had lunch TxT so my gastric was getting worse while headache from the heat started (kudos to one of my friend Trina who somehow can stand outside throughout TxT) Luckily we rotated ... hurhurhur...

I was stuck there for a while  and although I didnt play the game, the figures are really nice so I decided to take a few pictures x'D !!

After that , I was stationed at the "Kyojin Wall" 

where I am supposed to help people take picture with this "wall' below 

besides air-con another best thing about this station is......

IT IS FREAKING RIGHT BESIDE THIS PLACE !!!*A* !!!

And guess what happened after that ! x'D !!

I was jumping beside the stage excitedly , awkwardly motioning  if I can take a picture with her before her interview start and !!! and ..!!!! 

I dont care this is blur and I dont look so nice but
Alodia agreed to take  a selfie with me x'D !!

She's very very very nice --> she actually walked towards me when I confusedly paced beside the stage !!

and later ... after Dion and I  queued and saw her the 2nd time, she event agreed to take more selfie with us *tearsofgratitude* She also passed us her 3 coscards and signed them !!!

After that I cant help being hyper ! xD I was so so happy I get to meet friends , and take selfie with 2 of my cosplay idols !!! Thanks to my baby-faced boss also LOL for entertaining my fangirling towards Alodia ! xD!!!

Beside my Kyojin Wall Station , was a Light Saber station set up by this awesome team of Jedis xD !! The FightSaber !!

After that we went to Eighteen Chefs to eat ... I mistook this place for somewhere else initially OTL.... then got confused in the end OTL...

In the end it was a fun fun fun experience :D ! 

Managed to catch a sight of the giant Doraemon at Scape :D

 

 and managed to meet so many friends xD!!! Although its tiring , its quite worth it x'D !! Had I been awake at 1-2am that day I'd have worked another day OTL :'D !! *Blames low self HP/MP" OTl.... I hope I can work tgt with the Pika Pika girls again soon >3<;;; Getting very very busy (and will be busier than ever) now ....
